Underdale High School has built a deserved reputation as a school committed to meeting the needs of individual students and celebrating diversity. Our students are the strongest advocates of our school, enthusiastic about their learning experiences, the support teachers provide and the relationships they form. Our Governing Council and parent community value and have confidence in the school's programs, policies and practices.

Underdale High School is a caring, inclusive community that provides opportunities for innovative, challenging and creative learning; valuing success and wellbeing for all. Student are encouraged to become self-directed, life-long learners who are capable of making a positive contribution to the community. We offer a broad range of academic and vocational subjects and experiences to satisfy the needs of all students.

We have adopted a middle school philosophy and a middle school program to meet the specific needs of students in Years 8 to 10. The Middle School Curriculum provides all students with a framework to ensure excellence in academic, social and cultural outcomes within a global context. This curriculum has a strong focus on successful learning, personal development and citizenship.

The Senior School Curriculum caters for a range of preferred futures and more options for specialised learning. Students in the senior school (Years 11 and 12) study the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). The curriculum provides pathways to University, TAFE , Vocational Education and Training and direct employment.

We offer specialised Football (Soccer) and Netball Academies, an outstanding Automotive Program, and English as an Additional Language. Entry into Maths, Science and English Competitions and involvement in a wide range of sporting and other co-curricular activities also add value to our curriculum offerings.

The school is proud of its tradition of academic achievement and recognises that learning is not independent of other aspects of social and emotional development. Our teachers support and guide students through a wide range of experiences and challenges. We are dedicated to working in partnership with our students and their families in an environment where there is a healthy balance between high expectations and a supportive learning environment.
