Year 12

  1. Subject selections will be shaped by student aspirations, previous academic results (pre-requisites) and teacher recommendations.


  2. Students must have a minimum of 200 Credits to complete the SACE.


  3. At Stage 2, students must pass three (3) @ Stage 2 full-year (20 Credit) TAS subjects (or equivalent) and Research Project (completed in Year 11) as part of their SACE.


  4. In order to qualify for an ATAR (for University application), students must complete all of the requirements of the SACE (including Research Project) and complete a fourth (4th) Stage 2 (20 Credit) TAS subject (or equivalent).


  5. Students wishing to do Stage 2 ESL must have been enrolled in Stage 1 ESL Studies or complete an application form and satisfy the criteria as set down by the SACE board.


  6. Students wishing to enrol in an External VET course will need to discuss with the VET coordinator the level of credit that course contributes to the SACE before selecting EXTERNAL VET / ASBA.


  7. Students who complete a Certificate 3 before the completion of Year 12 may be able to count that qualification towards their SACE and / or an ATAR. Please discuss this with a counsellor before selecting this subject.


  8. Students wishing to enrol in a subject not offered by Underdale High School that are offered by another educational institution (such as Thebarton Senior College) should select the subject External Subject, and complete the application form available from the counsellors.


  9. Students wishing to do a language not offered at Underdale High School can explore doing that language externally through the School of Languages. Students should choose the subject LOTE - SOL and complete the application form available from the course counsellors.


  10. Community Studies B versions (Non ATAR) of many subjects are available to students, based on their Year 11 grades and teacher recommendations.


Individual subjects will run as determined by student choice, staff expertise and facilities available.
